Charitable Impact is an online giving platform built for Canadian donors that makes it easy to support any charity in Canada, raise money through crowdfunding, and track impact over time. Charitable Impact has helped more than 110,000 Canadians donate more than $550 million to thousands of charities nationwide.

Between 2016 and 2017, Charitable Impact saw a 170% growth in its mobile user base. In response, in mid 2018, the company decided to launch a newly designed mobile application by the beginning of 2020.

As a UX Lead, my primary responsibilities included bringing every team together by creating alignment, defining priorities, and establishing a process to enable cross-functional collaboration, all while pumping out wireframes and final UI designs alongside my team. Not only did our UX team transform the entire giving experience within Charitable Impact based on the existing data, donor feedback, extensive user testing, and conversations with stakeholders and subject experts, we added various brand-new features and functionalities, such as messaging, notifications, friends, user profile, and personalized cause-based recommendations.

While we were working on this project, we had only one goal: helping people create the change they want to see in the world. Hopefully, we have achieved just that.
